Izaak Theo Adu
Izaak Theo Adu shares the most intimate parts of his life with the world. His Instagram account has become an in-depth look into some of the most important relationships in his life: his relationship to self and his relationship with his mother, Sade and his wife. He uses his platform to normalize the road to being his true self, sharing his transition from female to male with his followers. Adu documented every step of his transition starting with hormones to until his final surgery. The path was far from easy and he often credits his friends, family and specifically his mother for offering him support and courage along the way. Adu hopes to shine a light on the physically and emotionally taxing experience trans people go through and ultimately create a community of support for others facing similar circumstances. The 23-year-old is an emerging artist studying illustration and posts his sketches and drawings to his Tumblr, his subjects ranging from Ryan Gosling to potential tattoo designs. Quickly becoming a favorite of Burberry designer, Riccardo Tisci Izaak has walked for the brands' Spring & Fall collections, and was featured in Burberry's Fall/Winter 2020 campaign lensby Danko Steiner. Izaak, can also be seen on the cover of 10Men's & M Le Magazine Du Monde Magazine.
