Akbar Shamji reunites with photographer Steven Meisel for the Spring Summer 2024 advertising campaign for Dolce & Gabbana. The creative treatment for the campaign under the art direction of Fabien Baron is flawless in its evocation of Sicily. The codes are simple, effective, realized in the collection’s sharp palette of black, white, and cream. In Meisel’s elegant black and white, the tailoring comes to the fore. Ever the leading man, Akbar dominates every frame in which he’s lensed. Previously Akbar has worked with the photographer and the Italian fashion label for a pair of campaigns over the summer months of the last year.
