Athiey Deng
Athiey Deng is an Ethiopian-born model who has made significant strides in the fashion industry. His journey in modeling began at the age of 11, showcasing his early passion and talent for the craft. Athiey comes from a family with a strong modeling background, as both of his siblings are also models. Growing up, they frequently had photoshoots with different photographers, further nurturing their interest and skills in the industry. Athiey Deng's life took a turn when his family was forced to flee South Sudan. After seeking refuge, they were granted visas, thanks in part to his brother's moving poem written in the refugee camp. This significant event allowed them to embark on a new chapter of their lives. Currently residing in Atlanta, Athiey Deng has achieved remarkable milestones in his modeling career. He recently had the honor of opening for Comme des Garçons during his debut at Paris Fashion Week. In addition, he walked the runways for esteemed designers Feng Chen Wang and Songzio, as well as the renowned fashion house Fendi. These opportunities highlight his growing prominence and recognition within the fashion industry. Athiey finds inspiration in his immediate family, particularly his mother and sister Rachel. Additionally, he draws creative motivation from influential figures such as designer Nigel and photographer Shamaal.
